Good food on and off the slopes is a great way to enhance your ski week and winter break with us.
We understand just how important it is to get the most out of your escape time to the mountains, especially on short ski breaks, and these impressive restaurants in St Anton are sure to leave you satisfied.
This a restaurant and couple with a great story , from Denmark Henrietta and Henrich who both share a true passion for food , so if you want to have a premium experience as part of your winter ski trip away , you will need to reserve many months in advance , but I assure you it is worth it, and Mr Michelin also though so and awarded them a 2025 award , but this is a 6 Star unique dining experience where they only take 16/20 per evening and that’s it ,plus they will do a wine pairing proposal or you can choose from their excellent cellar.

On the same main street , Dorfstrasse where we live Hotel Schwarzer Adler plates up perfectly considered local delicacies in its 400-year-old Tyrolean parlour, so try ask for your table in the Alte Stube. While the hotel does offer a half board restaurant for guests, their a la carte offering is really something special. A charming ambiance, extensive wine list and a menu of mouth-watering Austrian fare makes this place a great special occasion option. You’ll need to call up to book a table if you’re hoping to eat here during the evenings, and particularly if you have a large group.

We have been many years dining with Niki, Stephanie, Killian, and family and the food is delicious and staff always welcoming and a great wine cellar to play with too…The ambiance is cozy, charming and yet stylish , and you would hardly know it is part of the Hotel Montana owned by the same Wolfram family, but they turn out great food and always have a few signature specials on offer to add that little extra to your lunch or dinner.

M3 Hotel’s Hazienda , hidden away in the cellar, (opposite Bar Cuba) offers a modern European menu of homemade pastas and perfectly cooked meat-based main courses. A Great wine list and their food is excellent with large portions so you scarcely need a starter, with each dish arriving thoughtfully plated and cooked to perfection. The décor is simple and modern, which makes a welcome change from the traditional Tyrolean restaurants found frequently in St Anton’s town centre.

The Museum Restaurant can be found within the St Anton Museum – hence the name located just below Mooserwirt at town level so easy access. This historic building was built back in 1912, an architectural gem in the centre of St Anton. Within easy walking distance of the town centre (just follow signage to the museum from the roundabout next to the new Rendl Gondola Base) passing the old Underground Bar which no longer exists, you’ll find a charming restaurant, spread across four central rooms. We can’t deny that MOOSER Hotel is known primarily for its world-famous après ski bar, the MooserWirt, but Ooben im Mooser is certainly worth considering for a special evening meal. Fine dining and flashy views give Ooben im Mooser its hefty reputation as one of St Anton’s most impressive restaurants. Open exclusively for evening service and often fully booked by hotel guests, you’ll need to reserve well in advance or you’ll risk missing out on 360 degree views of St Anton’s twinkling lights.

A small restaurant located on the fringe of St Anton, you’ll find it a 20-minute walk or a 6-minute drive from the centre of town. A solid option if you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, especially during après ski hours. Think traditional surroundings and delicious Tyrolean specialties, Sonnichbuchl Stube provides a laid-back haven within the Hotel Sonnichbuchl.

Bodega Bar provides a vast selection of Spanish tapas favourites, located in the very heart of St Anton. Fill your boots with patatas bravas, Spanish meats and cheeses, and padron peppers whilst sipping sangria and find yourself transported to sunnier climes. Open year round, Bodega Bar does get busy during dinner time, so it’s a first come first served, and worth the wait if you have to queue for a table.

This amazingly located spot serves up ‘the Best Burger in St Anton’ according to customers, so it’s definitely worth stopping in to refuel. You’ll find Galzig Bistrobar in the town centre, just next to the Galzigbahn lift. Hop off your skis after a zoom down Zammermoos and reward yourself with a plate of pasta and a large glass of red wine at Galzig. Always a favourite, the Hospiz Alm in St Christoph never fails to amaze. There’s even a slide down to the toilets and a wine cellar featuring the largest collection of oversized bottles in the world. It’s well worth booking here and we favour the tables beside the huge fireplace, to help dry out any soggy ski gloves. Its open all day and dinner and lunch is safest to pre-reserve.
The back stubes are also super cosy and the terrace is unbeatable on a bluebird day. Everything we’ve eaten here has been wonderful, but we wouldn’t go back without getting at least one plate of the super saucy ribs to share or wings to share and ask for a walk tour around the most amazing wine cellar in Europe.

Known for its buzzing après party, the Krazy Kanguruh has a surprisingly tasty lunch menu and is well worth a stop off one day. The food is really good and the views down to St Anton are great as well. A good spot to sit and watch the last run down into town before everyone has a few too many drinks. Just turn up, no reservations and enjoy the exuberance and youthful fun of the place, alternatively TAPS pizzeria is out front if you just need a casual bite and party at the KK after.

Featuring fantastic views above Lech, Der Wolf boasts panoramic windows to help you enjoy the scenery. There are also plenty of deckchairs out front when it’s sunny. At the top of the Petersboden chairlift from Oberlech, Der Wolf sits on the 210/200 run. If you happen to miss it on your way down, you can always do a quick lap back around on the chairlift.
Der Wolf offers a clean, alpine style, with one of the best goulashes we’ve sampled in Austria. It can get busy though, so we’d recommend it for an early or late lunch stop.
